Signs of Colon Cancer

Colon cancer is prone to individuals above the age of 50. Colon or colorectal cancer is affected by stress and unhealthy eating routine. But genetics and inflammatory intestinal diseases are the significant reasons of cancer of the digestive tract. Detecting signs of melanoma of the digestive tract and nipping colon cancer in the bud at an early stage increases the patient's survival rate. Hence, we give you signs of melanoma of the digestive tract that one must not ignore.

What is colon cancer?
'Colorectal cancer, commonly known as colon cancer or bowel cancer, is a melanoma from uncontrolled cell growth in the digestive tract or rectum (parts of  the huge intestine), or in the appendix.'Essentually, cancer of the digestive tract mainly seems to be in the colon. Colon melanoma seems to be in the inner lining of the digestive tract. Colon cancer is mainly diagnosed by colonoscopy.

Colon cancer

What are the causes of colon cancer?
Risks for colon sickness include old age, a record of colitis or Crohn's disease, a genealogy of the cancer, and smoking. Some studies have also linked diets high in animal fat, and low in fruits, vegetables and fibre to an increased risk.

Blood in stool
This is the main sign of cancer of the colon as well as for other types of cancer. Dark patches or blood in stool or on it is the main sign of colon cancer. The structure of the waste also changes; instead of solid stools, cancer of the colon patients will experience long and thin stools. Blood in stool waste brings us to our next point.

Anaemia
Blood in waste results in lack of blood in your body. TThis will result in lack of blood, which means anaemia is another sign of cancer of the colon. Anaemia in cancer of the colon patients needs to be improved to fight cancer and increase survival chances. Anaemia also leads to exhaustion in cancer patients. Lack of blood makes your skin paler than your normal skin colour.

Fatigue
Fatigue is one sign that affects most of us, but that doesn't imply that we all have cancer of the colon. If you feel exhaustion associated with other signs and warning signs of cancer of the colon then you should be worried. As said before, fatigue is a result of low blood level. Lack of blood drains the life from you, leaving you tired, lethargic and irritated.

Weight loss
Along with anaemia and fatigue, cancer of the colon patients will shed bodyweight significantly. This dropping bodyweight is strange, but is also an important symptom. Significant dropping bodyweight over a few months without any apparent cause, i.e. strange dropping bodyweight, can be one of the main signs that you might be suffering from cancer. This also happens with cancers of the pancreas, stomach, esophagus, or lungs.

Change in bowel movement
This can be an agonising problem; change in bowel movement means you have to change your eating habits, which includes that you may have to miss on certain preferred food. Modify in bowel movement simply means you may experience constipation, diarrhea, a sense that your bowel is not empty, rectal cramping, urgency to visit the washroom.

Discomfort in stomach
Cramps, discomfort, swelling and stomach ache feeling of the abdomen are some of the signs of colon cancer. Pain in the abdomen may be the due to holes in the abdomen. But stomach pain is rare in colon cancer.

Obesity
Obesity is a sign and potential cause of colon cancer; seniors who are heavy, especially around the middle, seem to have high risk of developing melanoma of the digestive tract than their slimmer colleagues - and exercise may lower the occurrence of the disease, especially for women, a Western study said.

Prevention

- Appropriate examining can prevent colon cancer from improving into adverse stages.
